Dawna, Financial Coordinator and Office Administrator
Dawna moved to Colorado Springs in the summer of 2002. She came from San Diego, California, where she lived since 1986 with her family. She has been in the dental field since 1983 when she served active duty as a dental assistant in the United States Navy. Her husband, Greg, retired from the Navy in 1983 after twenty-six years of service. They have three beautiful daughters. Crystal is married and living in North Carolina with her husband, Marshall who is serving in the Army. Danielle (Dani) is married and living in San Diego with her husband, Laine who is serving in the Navy. Amanda is attending UCCS where she is playing on the softball team and will be a 2011 graduate. Dawna enjoys watching Amanda play softball, reading, needlepoint, sewing and knitting. Dawna has been with Dr. Jennings since June, 2002.
Karen, Certified Expanded Duties Dental Assistant
An Eastern Colorado native, Karen is a graduate of Chadron State College in Nebraska, Colorado College of Dental Assisting, and Pikes Peak Community College. Karen has been in the dental field since 1979. Her years of dental experience and training have made her an extremely accomplished chair side assistant and technician. She and her husband, Mark, live in the Black Forest with their two daughters, Michaela, born in 1994, and Kenna, born in 2000. As a family, they enjoy the peace and solitude of their five acres, along with hiking and biking. Karen's favorite activity is running. Her most recent accomplishment set a personal record in the Pikes Peak Marathon. Karen has been with Dr. Jennings since March, 1995.
Karen Y. , Registered Dental Hygienist
Karen is a graduate of the University of Michigan and has enjoyed caring for her patients since 1980. She has lived in Colorado Springs since 1988, except for the three years she spent overseas during her husband's military career. They have three children, and her hobbies include traveling, hiking, cooking and skiing with her family. Karen worked for Dr. Jennings from January, 1992 until June, 1994 when she moved to Denmark with her family. Karen came back to work for Dr. Jennings in 1997 as a fill-in Hygienist until she became permanent in November 2004.
Linda, Registered Dental Hygienist
Linda has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 1996. She has resided in Colorado Springs since 1991 and is a graduate of Pueblo Community College School of Dental Hygiene and a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association since 1996. Linda's goal is to assist the patients in discovering the latest in dental technology and preventive care. Linda continues her dental education so that she can provide the best care and service for her patients. Her hobbies include running, triathlons, biking, hiking and watching movies at home with her husband, Andrew. Linda has been with Dr. Jennings’ office since August, 2001.
Lynn, Patient Relations Coordinator
Lynn has lived in Colorado Springs since 1992. She has worked in the dental and orthodontic field since 1994. She and her husband, Joe, have three grown children: Lindsay, Ryan, and Lacy. Lacy’s family includes husband, Ryan, son, Padraig, and daughter, Pyper. They spend many weekends in Greeley supporting the UNC football team where Ryan plays. When not at work, Lynn enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Lynn has been with Dr. Jennings’ office since April, 2005.
Chandra,Expanded Duties Dental Assistant
Chandra is a Colorado Springs native along with her husband Preston and kids, Donnie and Mariah. Chandra has been an expanded duties certified dental assistant since graduating from PPCC Dental Assisting Program in 1998. In her spare time she enjoys riding her Harley Davidson and viewing the beauty of our state on 2 wheels, working out at the gym and hiking with the family and 3 Siberian huskies.
Susan,Registered dental Hygienist
Susan is a Graduate of the University of Alaska, Anchorage and has been practicing dental hygiene since 1991. Prior to becoming a Hygienist, Susan was an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant since 1982; where she graduated from the Kansas City College of Medical and Dental Assistants. Susan has a passion for Dentistry and a motive to help each patient achieve the highest quality of dental health attainable on a personal level. Susan knows dentistry is a changing science and enjoys keeping up with the latest dentistry has to offer and educating patients about new products and technology as it comes available for the best in home care. Susan and her husband Dale own a glass business in Colorado Springs, which keeps Dale very busy. But when they have time at home it is spent with their four children:
Sarah, Caleb, Josiah and Jeremiah, ranging in ages from toddler to teen. Her hobbies include singing, dancing, reading, and going to the kid's soccer games.
Deb,Dental Assistant
Deb is a native of Chicago, IL and has made Colorado her home since 1972. Deb was a flight attendant based out of Chicago until she became involved in the dental field in the mid-eighties. She has experience in General Dentistry, Orthodontics and Oral Surgery. Deb has 2 kids, a daughter Jenny who is married with 2 sons of her own and Geoff who is serving our country in the Marine Corps and stationed in California. Deb has been a Boulder Boulder 10K finisher every year since 2004. In her spare time, she works for the AFA Sports and Event Security. She is a Chicago Cubs fan and likes to run, hike, ride dirt bikes, snow board and ride snow mobiles.
